Peterson Beckner Industries, Inc. (PBI) is the result of a 1992 merger between Peterson Brothers and Regional Contracting Corporation, two Houston based companies.

Founded in 1936, Peterson Brothers had developed an enviable reputation as a premier constructor of heavy and complex steel framed structures in Texas and Louisiana.

Regional Contracting Corporation was established in 1975 to serve a growing demand in the Sunbelt for a merit shop contractor capable of constructing complex steel structures in the commercial, institutional and industrial sectors.

The merger of the companies created an organization with many established strategic capabilities. The experience and proven success of the two firms provided PBI with the essential financial resources of working capital, established bank lines of credit and a strong surety bond relationship.

PBI specializes in the construction of heavy and complex steel structures of all types and heavy mechanical installation work in the industrial sector, including installation of process equipment, air quality control systems components, plate duct work, boilers, etc. We construct high rise buildings, power plants and their specialty components , pulp/paper mills and sports facilities, along with other challenging projects in the commercial, institutional, and industrial sectors.

The primary markets served include the Southwest, Southeast, Midwest, Mid-Atlantic regions of the lower 48 states plus Puerto Rico; however, we will pursue project opportunities in most any area when customer demand prevails for the service.
