Peterson Beckner Industries (PBI) was established September 1, 1992 as the result of a merger between Peterson Brothers Steel Erection Company and Regional Contracting Corporation.

Founded in 1936, Peterson Brothers Steel Erection Company maintained an enviable and formidable reputation as a premier constructor of heavy and complex steel framed structures in Texas and Louisiana.

Regional Contracting Corporation was established in 1975 to serve a growing demand in the Sunbelt for a contractor capable of erecting complex steel structures in the commercial, institutional and industrial sectors.

The merger of the companies created an organization with many established strategic capabilities. The experience and proven success of the two firms has provided PBI with the essential financial resources of working capital, established bank lines of credit and a strong surety bond relationship.

PBI specializes in the erection of heavy and complex steel structures requiring unique construction engineering talents. High rise buildings, bridge construction/rehabilitation, power plants, pulp/paper mills, and sports facilities, along with other challenging projects in the commercial, institutional, industrial and heavy/highway sectors are our business.

The primary markets served include the Southwest , Southeast , Mid-Atlantic and Puerto Rico; however, the management will pursue project opportunities in most any area when customer demand prevails for the service. Corporate headquarters are located in Houston, Texas, along with a regional office in Dallas, Texas.
